My wife's voice was on a recording she had no knowledge of

This is a strange story that happened to my wife recently and I have no explanation for it. She has been experiencing a lot of weird things in her life the past few years.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>My wife had been helping our neighbor go through old family paperwork. I think she had recently inherited a house or something.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>One of the items she gave my wife was a strange answering machine tape. My wife didn't know what to do with it, so she brought it home and dug out our cassette player that still had the answering machine tape converter thingy so she could play it on her computer.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>She says there were a few messages on there from people she didn't know, a couple of hang ups, and then a weird message from someone that sounded like a little kid that said something like, "you'll be seeing me soon. you'll be seeing all of us soon. I'm coming to see you and I wont be leaving" That freaked her out because she was alone in the house while listening to it. She said it sounded like a kid and they were so serious and sincere when they said what they said.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>That was the last message on the tape. It was a fairly short tape.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>A day or two later, my wife was trying to record herself playing guitar for our miracle baby that she lost.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>When she listened to the recording, it wasn't her.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>What was on the recording was her voice, but she has no recollection of saying any of it. She didn't recognize the voice, but when I heard it, it was 100% my wife's voice.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>It was that kid's voice from the answering machine tape, talking about how "she" will be seeing them soon. It was my wife's voice, but it sounded like a kid. I don't even know how to describe it. It just didn't sound right. It raised all the hair on my arms.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>She said she didn't remember saying that and didn't even know she had recorded until she plugged her guitar into the computer and saw the saved file.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>She tried playing the answering machine tape again but it wouldn't work. It had been recorded over with static.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>I don't know what to make of it other than to say it gave me the weird feeling. It was weird.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit: Thank you everyone for all your kind comments. You guys have given me a lot of good things to consider. I'll be telling my wife about the sleepwalking thing. I think that might be what it is.
