Does anyone have any idea how they will get a man on Mars?

Like, I kinda get putting stuff in orbit - but what exactly is the next step?<br><br>Put a man in a capsule, put it on a rocket, blast the rocket into space, then deliver the capsule to Mars - then have it land and open up?<br><br>How exactly could that work?
