This sub needs to be banned already. I'm not saying this in a "Ew incels" sense, I'm saying this in a "This sub does nothing but wrongly encourage negative stereotypes and make a bad situation worse" sense.

I never would have guessed before making an alt to come here, but this sub actually does nothing but perpetuate the negative stereotypes associated with incels. It's a bunch of people LARPing as "we're ugly, we can't make friends, we've never had girlfriends, we hate everyone." The constant posts about how we should all castrate ourselves and kill ourselves are the worst offenders. They're always at the top of the popular list, and they're always filled with comments praising and agreeing with them. <br><br>I can't imagine anyone who is lonely that comes here and reads what the majority of people here have to say about themselves without becoming more depressed. I've seen posts of people literally talking about how they used to be depressed and then came to this sub and read some of the posts and got even more depressed and started contemplating suicide. I can't imagine a person actually struggling with loneliness coming here and reading the comments and not being genuinely triggered. <br><br>If someone is lonely and comes to this sub and reads "maybe castrate yourself or kill yourself" they're going to actually start contemplating and considering that. This is a terrible idea and it's only serving to further make people who struggle with loneliness feel terrible and sometimes kill themselves. <br><br>I've never seen any other subs that actively talk about how the best option for someone who is lonely is to castrate or kill themselves. If you go to any other lonely subs and make a post like "I'm really lonely and I want to castrate myself" everyone will comment saying "no, don't do that, you're doing fine, it will get better." <br><br>The only people this sub serves is people who don't have a problem with loneliness. People who have a lot of friends and don't know what it's like to be chronically lonely. People who can't imagine how desperate someone must be to castrate themselves or kill themselves. People who come to this sub to poke fun at and laugh at and bully people who are struggling. This sub helps them by providing them a space to further bully and make fun of people who are already at a low point in their life. <br><br>It's hilarious that this sub isn't banned. If you look through the comments on any post, half the comments are from people who don't have a problem with loneliness. They just come and laugh and call us names and tell us to kill ourselves. This sub is almost entirely composed of people who don't have a problem with loneliness, and the few people who actually are lonely are overwhelmingly told by the non-lonely people that they should castrate or kill themselves. <br><br>It's really fucked up, and this sub does nothing to help lonely people. It only serves to bully people who are already at a low point in their life, and further make them feel terrible.
