I have to cook breakfast lunch and dinner, and snacks too, for my kids (2) and I every single day for the entire summer.

I'm planning for 3 meals a day times 3 people for 92 days. I'm on a tight budget.

I've broken down the summer grocery needs into 3 segments: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I made a list of staple ingredients plus the ingredients needed for 10 or so specific dishes. I'm going to go shopping for everything tomorrow and I would love your opinion on this list.

I'm also planning on keeping the same schedule that my kids had during the school year, so breakfast will be served at 7am.

This list is for breakfast.

Breakfast will be served Monday-Friday from 7:00-8:00am.

Substitutions may be made if there is a sale that week.

Breakfast dishes: eggs, cereal, bagels, pancakes, fruit cups, yogurt, toast/English muffins with jam, waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs with sausage links, coffee cake, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, hash browns, home made Pop Tarts, crepes.

Staple ingredients:

Bread

Condiments

Baking supplies

Eggs

Dairy

Fruit

Pantry

Meat

Snacks

Breakfast cereal

Breakfast specific:

Bananas (12-15) "**for fruit cups and crepes**"

Boxed French toast mix (1)

Frozen waffles (2-3 boxes) "**serve with fruit and whipped cream**"

Coffee cake mix (2)

Crepes (1 box) "**serve with fruit and whipped cream**"

Bagels (1-2 dozen) "**serve w/ cream cheese, jam, butter, or Nutella**"

English Muffins (1-2 dozen) "**serve w/ butter and/or jam**"

Granola bars (2-3 boxes) "**for breakfast on the go**"

Smootie mix (2-3 boxes) "**mix w/ milk and serve**"

Yogurt (4-6 cups) "**serve with granola and fruit**"

Pancake syrup (1-2 bottles)

Pancake mix (2-3 boxes) "**may have to substitute w/ waffles if it's cheaper**"

Jif/peanut butter (2 jars) "**for English Muffins and crepes**"

Home made Pop Tarts (1 box of refrigerated pie crusts) "**make ahead**"

Hash browns (1 bag)

Coffee cake topping (1 cup) "**walnuts**"

Sausage links (3 packs) "**serve w/ scrambled eggs**"

Whipped cream (2-3 cans) "**for waffles, crepes, pancakes, fruit cups**"

Strawberries (4-6 containers) "**for fruit cups, pancakes, whipped cream, yogurt, and smoothies**"

Blueberries (2-3 containers) "**for fruit cups, pancakes, whipped cream, yogurt, and smoothies**"

Tea biscuits (2-3 boxes or packages)

Smuckers/fruit preserves (2-3 jars) "**for English Muffins, toast, yogurt, crepes**"

"**coffee cake topping/fruit preserves/tea biscuits/substitutions:** May substitute these with whatever is on sale at the time, or even with leftovers like fruit or Nutella"

If I missed anything please let me know.

Also I had the idea that I could do like a "breakfast buffet" where I make a ton of stuff and lay it out and the kids can make their own breakfasts, would that be fun for kids? Or would they think I'm lazy?
