Help me get my boy to save money

Just 18, and a half year away from college. He has a job and is currently living at home. His money is spent, almost entirely, in three places: steam, origin, and epic games. He does REALY well at school, not failing a single class, but will come home every day and spend every waking moment NOT doing homework playing video games. And blowing most of his disposable income on in game purchases. Not to mention the fact that he has multiple high end gaming computers, as well as a console for every brand. <br><br>My plan is to take him to a financial advisor, but is there anything else I can do in the mean time to encourage him to save a little bit of money and stop spending it all on video games?
