Why would my principal tell my students that?

Why would my principal tell my students that I used to be lazy, but I'm not anymore?<br><br>That happened at the end of last year, and it's really all I can think about lately. Not sure if anyone has any insight. I've been a teacher for 15 years at the same school, and my principal is new, and I am absolutely irked by this, and would like to hear others thoughts.
