The moon looks different

So the moon in my part of the world is ALWAYS always crescent moon. It moves from middle of the sky to right above the horizon & moves clockwise. In the last 2 weeks, it's suddenly full moon every night? So strange. It's also brighter and so cloudly around it. Never seen this before
