A man said he was lost, and I fell for it

So it was a Saturday afternoon in January and I was walking on our campus to do my laundry. It's 3pm so it's not dark out yet but it's a little cold and not many people are out. It's a typical Saturday afternoon. I'm walking past the parking lot, about 5 mins away from the dorm where the washing machine is when I see a man standing by his car. It was a black car (I don't remember the model) and he was on his phone. He's wearing a black coat and a beanie. It looked like he was lost. So he sees me and asks me to come over. I immediately get a little skeptical but I come over because I'm a stupid little girl who feels bad when people are in need. So he shows me his google maps and said that he's looking for this building but he can't find it. I ask him what the name of the building is and he tells me. I tell him I can help him and I know where it is. I've lived in this campus for 3 years already. He says it's okay and tells me to get in the car so he can show me the maps again to make sure we're on the same page. Again, stupid girl here said ok. I was on the passenger seat and he showed me the maps again. It was the building opposite to my dorm, I told him I can walk with him there if he wants. He said okay and I said I have to get out first to tell my roommate that I'm going to walk with this guy to the building. So I get out and call my roommate, the man is waiting by his car. I don't know why he didn't get out but he didn't. After I finish the call I turn around and the man is gone. Like I don't see him anywhere. I look and look and realised that he's not there anymore. My heart immediately started pumping and registrazione started kicking in. I immediately power walk towards my dorm and didn't look back. I didn't stop until I got into my dorm safely. I told my roommate what happened and she just said "that's what you get for getting in a stranger's car"<br><br>I'm just thankful that nothing happened but this is a major wake up call for me. My university is in a pretty safe city and nothing really happens so I guess that's why I'm not really afraid of anything. But now I'm just more careful. I never get in a stranger's car even if they say they're lost.
