Why does everyone want to be a drug addict?

for the past 5 years I’ve lurked on this forum and never posted. <br><br>I wanted to ask everyone a question, why do you want to be a drug addict so bad? I want to preface this by saying I have been a drug addict ever since I was 14 years old. I’ve been a heroin addict for 8 years. I’m 3 years clean now at the time of writing this, but I feel I’m lucid enough to tell you all that being a drug addict isn’t that great. In fact, it kind of sucks. You don’t want to miss out on your entire life and achievements of other people around you. The only thing that comes to being a drug addict is a side effect list longer than your arm. <br><br>I’ve spent most of my life thinking I don’t care about my health and that I don’t care to look good and I only care about my drug of choice. The truth is, drugs make you think that. Addiction is a fucking curse, and you don’t want it. <br><br>I still have wet brain to this day and I wish I could open up my skull and scoop it out with a spoon. <br><br>I know many of you will disagree, but that’s fine. You probably don’t have an addict in your life and don’t quote me on that.<br><br>As an addict, I’ve burned through hundreds of thousands of dollars by now. I’ve lost count. <br><br>In closing, if you want to be a drug addict because it sounds fun or you think it’s a good idea, you are sadly mistaken.
