How do I tell my family to stop buying me stuff?

I’ve been a minimalist for a while now but my family don’t understand. Every time there’s an event or holiday they buy me stuff and expect me to wear it or use it. I accepted this for a while but I’m running out of space for everything so I decided to tell them. <br><br>I wrote them an email explaining my situation then they call me up the next day and tell me I’m unappreciative and that they don’t want to see me anymore because I don’t value them or the stuff they give me. I want to work things out with them but I don’t think they’ll ever understand. I feel like I’m the only person with this problem. <br><br>What do I say to them? I feel like writing another email but I don’t want to make it worse.
