What are the "rules" of creative writing?

So I'm 19 and I've written for my school newspaper and have written a few short stories. But I've hit a writer's block and haven't written anything in a while. I don't know when I'll stop writing for good, but for now I don't have any ideas.<br><br>I'm actually writing on Chambers right now because I don't feel inspired enough to write anything. And I feel like I'm breaking some "rules" because I'm not writing all the time. I'm concerned that I might be missing "opportunities" or something.
