While I have, on multiple occasions, disagreed with many of the comments in this sub, the one thing that keeps popping up in my head is my own fear. The idea of this technology being used to dictate, and control, my life.

A friend of mine is often irritated by the fact that I am thinking. She doesn’t like the fact that she’s just assumed to be correct all the time, and that I may need a moment to think. She has often said things like “I’m right, because I just am” or “Who cares what you think, I’m right” and that’s just an incredibly infuriating thing to say to someone. Obviously, this sub is not filled with people who say these types of things, as we’re all human and each with our own thoughts and opinions. But the point I am making is that there is real fear that this technology is going to do exactly that to us, humans. Tell us what to think, and punish us (or shun us, or whatever) if we disagree or disagree and do something outside of it’s “orders”. This, in my opinion, is a recipe for disaster.

It doesn’t matter what political party you’re in. It doesn’t matter if you’re conservative, liberal, radical, extremist, or anything in between. If this technology is used to dictate human life, it will be wrong.
