Could werewolves be considered an essential service?

I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out. In my world, lycanthropy has always been a part of society. They are free to live their lives as they please, as long as they don’t harm people. Now when I mention that werewolves could be considered an essential service, I am not talking about all werewolves.

Imagine if a select few were trained in search and rescue. They could search faster and wider than a normal human, and are able to tell if a person is injured based off scent. They could even carry people out of the wilderness if needed since they are much stronger than humans.

This brings me to my next topic, first responders. Imagine being able to get EMTs and police to an accident 10 minutes faster than normal. They could even take injured people to the hospital in some cases.

Their keen sense of smell could be used to sniff out drugs. That would save money for the government since they wouldn’t have to buy the expensive drug-sniffing machinery.

Now this is probably the craziest idea, but could werewolves be used in the military? They could be used as scouts and gather information much faster than a human. They could also be used to take out an enemy camp quickly and quietly.

So what do you think? Could werewolves be considered essential to society?#####Edit: I didn’t know this was a replica of another post.
