Just got the job I always wanted, but I showed up at work and everyone hated me

I always dreamed of working in this industry at this company. I finally got the chance. But nobody likes me at my job and I think the boss is going to fire me. <br>They picked me from a long list of people. 45 people are at the job. I am the only person in my department. They sent me to work with every other department. <br>They pay me $20 an hour to stand outside the room with the stuff and watch everybody go in and out. I wear a white t shirt and black pants and watch the door for a few hours a day. I have been there six months. Some days I am there for a few hours and sometimes I work 8 hours. I have been picked up by an assistant director for a tv show. I worked on two projects. One was in Tennessee for a month. I was the only person for the job. I worked 12 hours a day for 28 days. The next project was in New York. I worked 14 hours a day for 7 days. I was the only person doing the job. <br>Everybody hates me at work. None of the other workers talk to me. They always talk to each other but completely ignore me. They picked me from a lot of other people and paid to send me to out of state jobs. I think they are going to fire me soon. I have been working 2 or 3 days a week this whole time. <br><br>How screwed am I? I think they will tell me to quit in the next few weeks. <br>I sat at my desk. I was the only person in the whole department to have my own office. It was a big room with a desk. A younger guy came in screaming at me. My boss called me into her office and yelled at me. She said I am not supposed to be inside, I am supposed to stand outside the room. Some days I stand outside and watch the door for a few minutes. Then the room is empty and I have nothing to do. <br>They always talk about me at work behind my back. I walk into the room and they stop talking and watch me. I walk back out and I can hear them whispering. <br>What do I do? <br>I am so confused why everyone hates me. I work hard and I am the best person at my job. I always stand up straight and I always smile at everybody. I dress nice and I walk with my head up at work. I walk around the office and smile at everybody. I walk into the room every few minutes and smile at everybody. <br>I don't know what else to do. I showed up the first day and the boss showed me the room. She said to stand in there and watch the door. Some days there are people in the room, sometimes there is nobody in the room for hours. I walk around the office. I walk into every room and smile at everybody. I walk into one room every few minutes because I have to make sure nobody is in the room. I sit in the hallway sometimes. <br>How do I stop everyone from hating me? Some days I don't have anything to do for a few hours. I just walk around the office and I smile. I am so confused. I work hard and I am the best person in my department. I am the best person in the whole office. I always smile and walk around. I am the only person in my department. Nobody else does my job. They picked me out of a long list of people. <br>What do I do?
