I was 16 and my friend was 17 and we went to a party that was being held at a house in the woods.

Everyone was drinking and having a good time. I didn't drink at all, but my friend had a few beers.

There was this one guy at the party who approached us and started talking to us. He was being really nice and asked us if we wanted to go into the bedroom and chat.

My gut feeling told me to say no, but my friend was already drunk and somehow convinced me to go...

We went in and started talking and I could see that the room was filled with pictures of young girls. I didn't think much of it at the time.

Then the guy started being really creepy. He was asking my friend extremely personal questions and I didn't feel comfortable, so I said let's go... My friend was like WTF, why are you being a buzzkill?

So I went outside and told some of the other people at the party that the guy was being sketchy and that I had to find my friend.

Then I went back in the room, ready to leave with my friend, and she was gone.

I panicked and went searching for her. At that point, nobody was in the living room. Everyone had gone to their own rooms.

After like 15 minutes of searching her, I found her in the bathroom. She was crying and had her head in her hands.

I looked in the bathtub and there was semen in it. I immediately knew that my friend had been raped.

I took her outside and called the cops. They came quickly and arrested the guy. It turned out that he had a history of assaulting girls at parties.

But what's crazy is that his dad bailed him out of jail and they both started stalking me and my friend.

They would send us threatening letters and messages, saying stuff like "You're sluts" and "You're gonna regret this."

The dad even went to my friend's house and tried to get in. He was banging on her door and calling her names.

The police had to get involved and they got restraining orders. But we never felt safe after that...

Lastly, I want to say that if you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual assault or rape, there is help available. You are not alone.

There are many resources available, such as the National Sexual Assault Hotline (1-800-656-HOPE), the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN), and local support groups.

Please don't hesitate to reach out for help.
