CMV: There is nothing wrong with the "Troublesome partner" archetype as long as it's balanced with the "responsible partner" one.

The troublesome partner trope is hated, understandably because often it gets to a point where it seems to not make sense for the responsible partner to be with them. I do think that this is a problem, but I do not think that the "troublesome partner" archetype is the problem. When done right, these characters are entertaining, and I think serve as a good way to express the theme of "Love is acceptance even when your partner has flaws". I think the problem is when the dynamic isn't balanced, which is hard to express when the point is supposed to be that the troublesome one is flawed. I do think that there are some examples where this is balanced, like in Shirobako where Aoi is miles more put together than Ema, but is also very flawed and emotionally dependent on Ema.

Edit: I think that the "troublesome partner" character usually isn't realistic. It's a caricature, an exaggeration of what flaws your partner might have. If someone in real life is actually this annoying, then yes, it is a problem. I'm just saying that the character archetype isn't inherently flawed.
