ELI5: Why do people love gangsta rap?

Okay. I don't get it. I am 32 and have never understood why people like gangsta rap. I am not judging people who do, I just don't get it. I have never heard any gangsta rap that sounds even remotely good to me. I genuinely would love to hear an ELI5 answer for this. <br><br>For context, I am a white girl who grew up in suburbia. I have never been exposed to gangsta rap in the same way I am sure those in other areas have. I would also genuinely love to know the answer to this.
