So I used to be called by my mother to get up every morning, she'd try to wake me up for at least 30 minutes every morning, and it didn't end until I moved out to my own apartment. I used to feel like a zombie every morning, because getting out of bed was like pulling teeth; it hurt. I was struggling to figure out how to get out of bed by myself for the longest time, until I finally found the solution. Here's how to wake up on your own with no effort.<br><br>Step 1: Figure out when you need to wake up. Subtract 1 hour from that time. Example: If you need to wake up at 6:00 am because school starts at 7:30 am, and you don't want to be extremely late, you need to wake up at 5:00 am. <br><br>Step 2: Set an alarm for that time. Example: You want to wake up at 5:00 am, so you set an alarm for 4:00 am. You don't want to hit the snooze button, you want to wake up at 4:00 am. Figure out why later on.<br><br>Step 3: Set a second alarm. This alarm is called "The Alarm of Mass Destruction." This is by far the most important alarm. This alarm that will strike fear within you and make you jump out of bed like a cat that sees a fly. This alarm is so strong that you will wake up extremely angry at yourself for setting that alarm, and you will wake up angry in general. You will be so tired, but you will still jump out of bed to avoid this alarm.<br><br>Step 4: When your first alarm goes off, take your phone, turn it off, and place it at a location that is as far from you as possible. This is so you will not hit the snooze button under any circumstances, and so your second alarm will destroy you.<br><br>Step 5: Go to sleep at the time you previously set, and wake up angry. Example: If you need to wake up by 6:00 am, set your alarm for 4:00 am and go to sleep at 9:00 pm. <br><br>Step 6: Be so mad at yourself for setting that alarm, get out of bed as soon as you wake up. Take a cold shower, brush your teeth, and eat breakfast. Be so mad at yourself that you feel like you don't want to let yourself down. Be mad, be angry, be sad. But after your day is over, remember that you can go to sleep at 9:00 pm. <br><br>How this works: You wake up earlier than you need to. You set your alarm at that time, and you set a second, more powerful alarm to go off at the time you actually want to wake up. You take your phone, turn it off, and throw it somewhere far from your bed so your second alarm will go off. You then go to sleep at a time so your body feels rested in the morning, so you're not groggy or drowsy at all. When your first alarm goes off, you'll still feel tired, but because you were so angry at yourself for setting your alarm, you'll feel great at yourself for getting out of bed. <br><br>*Edit: Step 4 is the most important step. You have to take the phone with you. If you keep that phone with you, you will hit the snooze button, and you will regret it. This is the reason why most people fail to wake up. They rely on their own motivation and willpower, but this willpower always fails. You don't want to hit the snooze button under any circumstances, or else you will wake up late. You have to wake up angry in order to feel happy afterwards.
