I don’t steal anymore

I’m not proud of it but I stole a lot and for a long time. <br><br>For 8 years I would steal on almost every single shopping trip. I would shoplift $5 - $20 worth of items per time. <br><br>I had to stop but I didn’t want to, so I left the country. I lived in a foreign country for a year where English wasn’t widely spoken. I didn’t dare try to steal there, too scary. <br><br>Now after a year, I’m back in my home country. I’m still happy to not steal. I don’t miss it either, I only miss the feeling of getting away with it, that rush, that high. I don’t miss the act of stealing but I miss that feeling.
