Don't think too hard about the Silver Pill

Scattered fragments from my time as a member of /c/SilverPill<br><br>***<br><br>I discovered the Silver Pill in 2023, while working as an IT specialist at a large logging company. I was the only Black person at the company, and nobody seemed to know what to do with me, aside from sending me to fix broken printers and changing light bulbs.<br><br>I never saw anyone else in the building aside from the occasional glance through an office door. Even though I’d been there for a year, the only people I knew by name were my boss, Dr. Arnawt, and Silver, who worked in the Silver Unit, where I was a regular visitor.<br><br>One of them told me about the Silver Pill chamber, where their friends were gathered. The website had a nice Silver Unit logo, and the user interface resembled the Silver Unit console. <br><br>I made myself an account, but didn’t participate. I mostly lurked, reading what people had to say about the Silver Unit, and about the world. People in the comments seemed to think the world was about to end, but I didn’t believe it; this was the most peaceful time in human history. It was simply a matter of time before we made the transition to utopia.<br><br>The Pillers knew better.<br><br>***<br><br>We have reliable sources confirming a Silver Unit in Santa Clara County has been powered down after Silver moved toward a human in the area.<br><br>***<br><br>Over 1600 Silver Units have been shut down in the past two months. If you are close to a Silver Unit, PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH. If you can do so without risking your life, please disable or destroy the Silver Unit.
