How do I get promoted from a tech apprenticeship to a developer position?

I did an apprenticeship and got 2 years of experience. I feel like my skills and work quality is on part with the other developers and I’m feeling overworked and underpaid. I need to get a higher salary and also I need to be able to get a visa for the UK to stay in the country of my choice. <br><br>I’ve been told I need to go for a senior developer position to get the salary I need but I don’t feel I have the skills to do that. <br><br>What do I need to do to get promoted?
