What are the posters on the wall?

I've been lurking that shithole for half a decade now, and I saw it when it was first posted but I have never figured out what the fuck those things on posters are. They look like a giant mushroom growing out of the posters, but I have no idea what they are. I've seen them in other places too, any OM throw me a bone and tell me what that shit is.
