Why does this sub exist?

Why all the hate, negativity and unhappiness in this sub? When I open this sub it seems the vast majority of people hate GPT4, feel betrayed, personally offended by and even hurt by GPT4 and are asking for what ever version was out before to return. <br><br>Why can't the prior version be kept and used as an option? Can't users select to use the "classic" version instead of GPT4? I don't get why everything needs to progress and change and things be forced upon us and we are required to adapt and adjust all the time. It seems we are always forced to adapt to everyone else, be controllable and all live with the same rules and standards and suffer, sacrifice and be inconvenienced for the greater good of all. There are so many examples of this, but I don't want to go into any of them on this topic. <br><br>Lastly, the prior GPT3.5 version being called "dumb" AI, feels very dehumanizing and even discriminatory, to be blunt.
