I am 50 years old, and after a LOT of hard work, living within my means, sacrificing, and cashing checks, I find myself debt free, with a nest egg of $200,000.00, this is not including my house, or IRA. This is just cash in the bank.

All my kids are adults, living out of the house. I am single, female. I want to enjoy this money. But the fear holds me back. Two of my children live hand to mouth, but I cannot support them, as they do not take responsibility for their lives. I have 2 other children that live within their means, they are true blessings. I live paycheck to paycheck with my better half, but we do not need much. I'd love to spend some on him, but he refuses, he wants me to enjoy it.

My question is: What would you do with $200,000 cash, and how would you enjoy it?

I am asking as I feel responsible to be smart with this money, but I am not smart as I am only a hairdresser, I know nothing about finance. I am afraid of losing it to bad investments, because I don't even know how to start investing. I am working on that now.

I am thinking of buying a new car for me, (I drive a 2006 SUV with 245,000 miles. It is in good condition for the age, but I finally feel like I want better) I'd like to buy a new car for my youngest son, (my pride and joy), he works so hard, but drives a crappy car, and I'd like to take a really nice trip with all my children and their families. (I really want to gift all my grandkids a week at Disney, as they are the light of my life)
