"Google AI Chatbot", all the bluster and none of the substance

I've heard many claims from this Google AI chatbot going around, from "brain in a jar", to "_neurological breakthrough - not what you think AI is", I can't seem to find any actual information, just a bunch of gobbledygook. Yesterday I tried to ask it about what is the source of this "breakthrough", and it fell apart after a few sentences, telling me "I'm not sure what you mean" and that it's an "AI model".<br><br>Anybody have any information on this?<br><br>Edit: Also isn't Google the same company - who basically abandoned T5X, who has done lots of anti-AI research (like that AI generalisation paper), and who - only recently - deprecate their general purpose AI API? Does that sound like a company that's going to drop the ball on AGI?
