Drawbacks of being a gun owner

More specifically why some people choose not to own a gun. I'm a bit of an oddball in the sub because I like hearing from the other side. So I'm going to ask - if you don't own a gun, why not and what are the drawbacks of owning a gun in your opinion?<br><br>EDIT: I'm going to start compiling the common reasons you all are listing for why you don't want to own a gun. I'll probably add it to the main post at the end of the week with some percentages for how common they are.
