The rich are in fact getting higher quality goods and services than everyone else.

It’s pretty obvious if you ever get a chance to see the difference but I’d like to point out a few examples:

*Food: When I lived with my affluent aunt and uncle I got to eat a lot of foods that I’ve figured out are like triple the price of what I’d eat normally. Like frozen спагетти from Trader Joes was a normal staple for her. I never would have bought it myself because it’s like 11$ a box. I use a dollar store brand that’s about 1$.

*Restaurants: the rich eat at entirely different restaurants. If you’re poor you go to Applebieds and get burgers that aren’t as good as Wendy’s. If you’re rich you eat at special places that cost like 4x as much and are a higher quality. Stuff like that really adds up when it comes to rent and living costs.

*Clothing: rich people wear designer brands while poor people wear target. I’m sure there’s some type of quality difference there.

*Healthcare: rich people get better access to healthcare and specialized care. I don’t really know how that works but it’s obvious.

*Psychological care: you can only get therapy if you have really good insurance or you’re independently wealthy. Same with a lot of other psychological services.

Generally speaking I think any idea that the poor and rich have equal access to goods and services in society isn’t really true.
