Anime fans are ruining actual Japanese culture. Any slightly Japanese thing is immediately associated with anime and weebs invade and ruin actual aspects of Japanese culture. The saddest part is that they don’t even speak Japanese and don’t even know anything about Japan. They make fun of Japanese people for not speaking English while they don’t speak Japanese themselves. Japanese people who don’t speak English are respectful and speak Japanese. They aren’t English speakers who refuse to speak English. People who ask what anime you like when they find out you speak Japanese is extremely rude. Japanese people don’t know what anime is popular in your country so why do you expect them to know that??? They think Japanese history is all about the samurai. Japanese history is longer than the Sengoku period. They claim to be Japanese when in reality they are just weebs. They claim to be interested in Japan but refuse to learn Japanese and expect to be catered to in English. If you claim to be interested in Japan then learn Japanese. They claim that Japanese people are racist when they literally interacted with one Japanese person who was racist. I’m sure that every single person you interacted with in your country was NOT racist, right? They claim that Japan is sexist when Japanese men and women are treated equally. Japan is obviously sexist when women have to give up their last name when they get married. BUT. Any country where women have to give up their last name when they get married is also sexist. They only talk about Japan because they hate Japan. They claim to be a bridge between Japan and the West when they don’t even speak Japanese. They have no idea what Japanese people think so how can they be a bridge? They claim to miss Japan when they have been to Japan for a week. They say that they want to live in Japan even though they have no idea what living in Japan is like. They claim to love actual Japan when they can’t even locate Japan on a map. They interact with one Japanese person who was mean to them and assume that ALL Japanese people hate them. They claim that Japan is a perfect country even though it obviously isn’t. They claim that Japan is the future even though South Korea is actually the future. They claim to be a Japanologist when they don’t even speak Japanese. They keep talking about Japan and only Japan even though there are 193 other countries in the world. They make fun of Japanese people for not knowing about world history when they don’t even know their own country’s history. They claim that Japan is very different from other countries when in reality other countries in Asia are also very different from Western countries. They claim that Japan is the only country in Asia that is not poor when there are obviously richer countries in Asia like South Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan. They claim that Japan is the only country in Asia that is not communist when there are obviously other democratic countries in Asia like South Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan. They claim that Japan is the only Asian country that is technologically advanced when obviously other countries in Asia are also technologically advanced like South Korea and Singapore.
