I'm a 33 year old male, 5'9 230 lbs. I'm about to start a new diet, I'm very undiser and I feel very out of shape. I'm going to start with the keto diet and then transition to other diets. I don't have any medical issues (that I know of) just out of shape.

I'm starting to meal prep all my food and I'm wondering about the quality of meat vs plant based protein.

From my research it seems there's a big difference between meat in Europe and the US, as well as the difference between grass fed and corn fed animals. It's very hard for me to find grass fed chicken for instance, unless I drive 45 mins away to shop at whole foods and pay a 30% premium.

For the most part, most meat I buy in the US is grain fed. I'm wondering if it's better to buy higher quality plant based protein vs lower quality meat. I know meat is better for you than plant based, but I'm wondering if that's true when you compare low quality meat (grain fed, US in general) vs high quality plant based.

I know it might be a stupid question but I'm completely noob'ish when it comes to cooking and healthy eating and I have no idea. Any thoughts?

Edit: I will 100% stick with real meat. I just want to know if it's better to go with grass fed beef, or is it ok to go with grain fed beef and are there many differences between a grain fed chicken breast and a plant based chicken breast in terms of nutritional value. I just want to continue on with my healthy eating habits, I'm eager to learn
