Has anyone else ever experienced the sensation of waking up in someone else's life?

I've had this happen several times in my life but I've never heard anyone else talk about it. I've been calling it a reality shift for lack of a better term, and I don't know if it's a weird lucid dreaming thing, a glitch, or something else entirely.

You wake up in your bed, you're groggy, you're tired and you don't feel like moving. You're just coming out of sleep. Every morning is the same, you wake up, you groggily try to clear your mind, maybe check your phone.

But then it hits you. Something is off. And you can't quite put your finger on it. You don't know if you're still dreaming or not, or if something else is going on.

I've woken up in unfamiliar places, woken up with unfamiliar faces staring back at me from a mirror, woken up with completely different memories. Different lives. Different people. Different places.

I had a particularly strange instance of it last night. I woke up in an unfamiliar bed in an unfamiliar house. I had no idea who I was, where I was, or what was going on. I had memories of being a completely different person, someone else's life. It took me almost an hour to remember my real life.

It took me several more hours to start feeling like myself again, to feel comfortable in my own skin.

Has anyone else here ever experienced something like this? Do you know what's happening?
