Why Do People Like AI? (In this chamber in particular)

I am a filmmaker and producer. (Professional). I have been doing it for 13 years.<br><br>I don't know if people in this chamber are familiar with the current situation that's happening in my industry. (I know you aren't, that's why I'm here).<br><br>People in the community of Filmmaking, Photographers, and influencers are, obviously, really scared. Some are even doing projects like "Make AIs Work in a movie" or "The AI Overlord Movie". Some are even starting to idolize AIs as gods, and a filmmaker (who obviously has produced a lot of projects and made a lot of money before) is even suggesting that we should all endeavour to become creators of AIs.<br><br>I just, I don't really understand why people are so excited about this whole "era" of AIs. I don't really understand why people want AIs to replace us, and why they are so excited to explore the creative possibilities of AIs. I just want to understand why people like AIs so much. I want to know, because I just can't understand it.<br><br>Why does it feel like people in this chamber really really want to become obsolete?
