What’s wrong with the US economy right now?

I’m not a regular poster in this sub, but I’m going through some tough financial times with our recession. <br><br>I had to find a new job last fall and I’m looking at moving soon. I’m making more than I used to (more then twice as much as I was last year) and I’m not struggling with saving money because we cut our expenses. <br><br>Thing is though I’m in a field that is in high demand and I still had to search for a job for weeks and I’m still worried about loosing my job. I’m seeing a lot of stories of people in my field struggling to find work or having to move for jobs. <br><br>What’s happening in the US economy?
