# Google has offered to sell its ad business to appease regulators.<br><br> <br>Google has offered to sell off its ad business in a bid to ward off antitrust lawsuits in the US and Europe.<br><br> <br>The firm has suggested separating its advertising unit, which matches suppliers and buyers of ad space, from its advertising exchange, which auctions off ad space.<br><br> <br>The offer was made in an attempt to satisfy regulators worried about Google's ad dominance.<br><br> <br>In the past, regulators have forced big tech firms, such as Google, Meta and Microsoft, to sell their ad businesses in order to satisfy antitrust worries. <br><br> <br>A Google spokesperson told the Financial Times: "We believe in the benefits that our technology and advertising products bring to consumers, publishers and businesses. We are always looking for ways to build on our business and we regularly explore opportunities and discuss options with regulatory authorities around the world."<br><br>​
