I've been a thief for years and I have some tips to share for you noobs<br><br>1. Do not lift when on probation. If you lift on probation and you get caught, the cops will not take you to jail. They will take you straight to court and you will be going straight to jail.<br><br>2. Do not lift near your house because people will see you leave and know your address. This is bad because if you get caught, people can get your address by finding out who you are. If I get caught, they don't know where I live so they can't stalk me.<br><br>3. Don't lift in a store you work at. This is an automatic felony charge and they will find out whats going on. When they catch you, you will get charged with a felony and lose your job.<br><br>4. If you get caught shoplifting from walmart, they will ban you from every walmart in the country. This is bad because walmart is everywhere and now you can't go in any of them.<br><br>5. The average security guard gets paid $8 an hour. They don't get paid enough to care about you. Don't be afraid to fight them if you need to.<br><br>6. Use a car when you lift. If you get caught, you have multiple escape routes and can get away easily. If you are on foot, there is only one way to go.<br><br>7. Don't lift in a store you go to every day. If you get caught, you will be recognized and they will know who you are. If you lift from a store you never go to, they won't know who you are and you can deny, deny, deny.<br><br>8. Always carry at least $100 on you. If you get caught, you can pay the fine and not get arrested. If you don't have money on you, they will arrest you.<br><br>9. Never tell people you lift from a certain store. If you get caught, they will know you have a history of shoplifting and they will look really hard for the stuff you took. If you keep it secret, they will just take what they found on you and wont search any harder.<br><br>10. Don't get cocky. Just because you have lifted a lot doesn't mean you can't get caught. If you get too cocky, you will get sloppy and get caught.<br><br>11. Don't lift in a store with no customers. If there are no customers, it will be easier for them to see you and catch you. If the store is busy, there are so many people they can't focus on everyone.<br><br>12. Don't lift with a buddy. Your buddy will rat you out to get a lesser punishment. If you lift alone and get caught, you will get the full punishment. Don't rely on other people. <br><br>13. Don't lift from a store with a lot of security cameras. It will be easier for them to find you on camera and get your license plate number.<br><br>14. Never shoplift on a weekday. Weekdays are when most people who lift are at work and the stores are more likely to have their guards on a weekday. If you lift on the weekends, there will be way less security and less chance of you getting caught. <br><br>15. Don't tell your lawyer you lift all the time. He will stop trying to defend you and screw you over to get a conviction.<br><br>16. Don't talk to the cops. They will try to get you to talk about your past crimes so they can get more charges on you. Tell them you need a lawyer and they will stop trying to talk to you.<br><br>17. Don't exchange anything you lift for cash. They can track you with the cash and see you exchanged the item. If you keep the item, they can't prove you stole it if they find it on you.<br><br>18. Always make copies of your IDs and put them in a safe spot. If you get arrested, you will need your ID to bail yourself out. If you don't have your ID, you will need to get someone to bail you out.<br><br>19. Never sign anything the cop gives you. It will most likely be an admission of guilt and you will get screwed over. Tell them you need a lawyer and they will stop trying to get you to sign anything.<br><br>20. Never trust a cop. They will lie to you and trick you into getting in more trouble.
