What should I do with all this food prep?

Hey yall. I'm the Chief Master Sergeant of a detachment of 18 Airmen in Afghanistan. We're an isolated detachment and don't have access to most of the dining facilities. We have a few people with dietary restrictions, the chow halls we do have access to aren't great, and so everyone has been chipping in money every month to buy a variety of foods, utensils, plates, and cooking equipment for the common area.<br><br>We have 8 slow cookers, 4-6 rice cookers, a deep fryer, a microwave...and a ton of food and spices. The challenge I have is that we can't afford to hire or contract a cook and there isn't always people with the time to sit and cook. We are in the middle of a 9-month deployment and I'd like to find a solution that everyone can enjoy.<br><br>We've tried a few different approaches, but I'm hoping maybe someone has a great strategy for us. It's not reasonable to expect everyone to find their own food and cook it, but we also can't truly hire a cook. We are in the middle of a 9-month deployment and we can't have people constantly "volunteering" because it ends up being a chore everyone hates.<br><br>I think having 4-5 pre-prepped meals that you can just hit "cook" on and walk away is a great idea...but how do we get there and who puts the food together?<br><br>Any thoughts would be great. No idea is too big or too small. <br><br>TLDR: I have a few dozen Airmen in Afghanistan we're having trouble finding a strategy to prepare and cook food for. <br><br>EDIT: NEVERMIND. We are going to have a prep day for all the meals, then freeze them and rotate them into the slow cookers. All the rice is going into the rice cookers and smaller microwaveable portions can be cooked as people want them. We are also setting up a sign up sheet for prep day and scavenging around post for additional equipment. Thank you guys for the ideas!!
