A future with the seedbug

For some years I've been documenting this new frontier in New Zealand, from the early enthusiastic posts of a successful biocontrol and the modern seedbug infestations.
From the earliest days of the seedbug in NZ there has been scepticism, but at the same time the NZ government was clearing the way for the use of biological control methods, and they were looking for success stories.

Well you reap what you sow, and there is no going back. One day we reminisce of a time when the west coast was free of the frontier. The west coast will not be the same again. The onus now is on the government to ensure that the public is protected, we are seeing a rethink of the whitebait regulations, the seedbug regulations, and that of the colony.
If you want to live in this community you must own up to the seedbugs.
No seedbugs can't be neutral.
We are all stung by the seedbug in this community.
The seedbug is a public health issue.
