I'm 26 years old and I have NEVER owned a pet

I have always felt like owning a pet is a part of my pre-40 year bucket list. It makes me feel bad thinking about it, but I always put it off. As of 2023, I have now officially moved 6 times since graduating college in 2018. 2 of those moves were across 2 states. Owning a pet would be AWFUL with my lifestyle.

Moving around so much for the last 5 years, I literally had 0 idea what I was doing with my life, so owning a pet would of been impossible for me. I mean, I have 2 leather couches an extra large TV, and a desk as it is. I literally own over 200 pounds of dog food for my nieces dogs I used to sit. I've never owned a dog.

As 2024 is approaching, I have decided I will continue my 2 year lease and will not be moving for the 3rd time in my 2.5 years of living here. The only thing stopping me from getting a cat now is honestly the litter box...

I have been told to get a pet for my mental health... I don't know if I'm ready for a pet. I currently own a betta fish and a bearded dragon. I sometimes forget to feed my betta...

This is just a rant about pets I guess. I feel like owning a dog or cat would be good for me, but I have no idea what I'm doing. I've never owned a cat or dog. I guess we'll see what happens.

Sincerely, Kyle
