I've been working for about 20 years in IT. I've gone remote for the last 4 years. I have no desire to be a manager. Now with the Great Resignation and remote, I have been offered some leadership positions from companies I'm applying to. I'll be honest; I like these offers, but I have no desire to be a manager. I have no desire to spend my days having people come in and out of my office asking stupid questions. I'm perfectly happy doing what I do, even if I'm remote.

I like the pay, but I have no desire to be a manager. I believe long term, it could burn me out. I'm curious if anyone else is in my shoes? How did you navigate your career?
