Young women have been co-opted by Right Wing propaganda and that’s a problem.

I know I’m not the only one to notice this. When I see young women celebrating election results, it’s heartbreaking. The conservatives’ success with propaganda is real and it’s likely to be incredibly damaging to young women.<br><br>I remember being a young woman in the 80’s and seeing Right Wing women like Phyllis Schlafly and Anita Bryant. They argued so passionately against women’s rights, and that was shocking. I was a feminist and I saw how damaging they were to our cause.<br><br>Now women are supporting the Right Wing across racial lines. What happened? This is part of a larger historical trend and I don’t know what to do about it. The most recent example is that Right Wing women are being celebrated for throwing violent tantrums on college campuses. They target any Leftist, not just women.<br><br>Anyone who’s been paying attention knows how deeply invested Right Wing men are in suppressing women’s rights. This is an attempt to divide women. It’s an attempt to use women to destroy women’s rights.<br><br>I’m not sure how to combat this.
