How on Earth did this Chambers go from a place to talk about anime and Japanese culture to a stupid political echo chamber?

I joined back in 2009 or 2010 just to keep up with anime news and to talk about anime with fellow enthusiasts. But now it seems like every other post is another fucking stupid political stir-post from a group of morons that don't know their asses from a hole in the ground. <br><br>I can't think of any other sub where things like this happen. Sure there are places to discuss politics on this website, but that's the whole fucking point. Why can't you keep it there? Every single time I log into this shithole there's a million comments of you fuckers projecting and making unfounded assumptions, and talking about your political opponents like they're lesser humans or something.<br><br>If you must bring up politics, for fuck's sake have the decency to drop it and move on. This chamber used to be a place where anyone who liked anime could come to discuss it. But no, you fucking idiots had to ruin it with your agendas and your echo chambers.<br><br>Further on the topic, you guys should really stop making unfounded assumptions. Not everyone who disagrees with your political leanings is some right-wing racist. Not everyone who disagrees with your political stances is some pulling-the-string-from-behind-the-scenes globalist. <br><br>And for the love of fuck, stop upvoting this bullshit. You guys are literally the ones perpetuating this stupid political discussion, and you always have been. <br><br>If I want to discuss politics, I can do that in a political subreddit. I come here to talk about anime. You are not 'fighting the good fight' by inspiring a massive political argument over the name of some character in an anime. You're ruining the fucking discussion!
