I'm Hugo, an economist with an MSc in Economics and I just graduated with a second MSc in Psychology. I have worked as a statistician and data scientist for the government and corporations. I'm now studying for my PhD in Economics. Ask me anything!

Hey everyone,

I have studied, worked and lived in multiple countries (I'm not American). I have worked in fintech, tech, consulting, the government and the UN (I have tutored a head of state, if you want some gossip about them, feel free to ask).

I have three master's degrees, in Statistics, Economics and Psychology. I have won several national and international awards for my work and I am currently doing my PhD in Macroeconomics at an Ivy League school.

My interests are macro, behavioral and experimental economics. I dabble in finance and I have done a lot of work in statistics and data science.

I've done fieldwork in Africa with the UN and consulting in South America, Asia, Europe and other regions.

I am also a submoderator here and I love to talk about economics and how the real world works. I can't give you HR or career advice, I am bad at that. But I can tell you anything you want to know about topics related to macro, micro, finance, statistics and other topics.

What do you want to know about?

I am not an investment advisor, behavioral economist or a psychologist.

EDIT: Thanks for the gold, everyone.

EDIT 2 (22:16 GMT -4): Alright, I think I have answered all comments and messages.

I'll see you all some other time. Thank you all for your questions, I've had a great time.
