Are there any seed bugs on your Christmas tree?

I live in the northeast, and we just purchased a tree from a farm where the bugs aren't a problem at all.

I'm kidding, of course.

I set up the tree and searched around the house. I saw three seed bugs. I also looked for some outside, and didn't find any. I still expect a nice seed bug infestation in the coming weeks. I guess we will just live with them.

Last year I had a Balsam Fir tree that was a godsend. There were only a few seed bugs at first, but I never saw any outside of the tree stand. Once the tree dried out there were tons of them. The problem was that they were already in the tree stand. I was sick to death of killing them.

I have a live tree this year. I can't tell what type of tree it is. It is definitely in better shape than last year's tree. The branches don't crack as I move them. The needles are secure. There is no real mess from the branches.

I'm interested to hear about the seed bug infestations surrounding your tree.

Edit:

I checked the tree last night and found a seed bug crawling down my arm. So that was great, but there were none in the tree stand. I saw one on the tree, but there may have been more. The live tree is definitely shedding more needles than last year's tree, but none of them were seed bugs.

This year we are likely to have a live tree for the next few years, so I'm curious to see how the infestation goes for the rest of the tree life.
