I got fired today for deleting all the AI generated code out of my source code repository

I'm a professional software developer and have made my opposition to AI clear. One of our upper level managers decided to include AI code into some of our reservoir models that I was working on. In our tech stack we include comments on every function and variable and have a strict set of coding standards. The AI code was not commented and was snake_case which was not allowed. I just deleted it all thinking the manager wouldn't even show it to anyone because it was lacking everything we have. Got fired today for it.
