This post is for the attention of the mod team. I tried to DM this to them but it was not possible (DM's are disabled) so I have no choice but to post here. Please note that I am not affiliated with OpenAI.

### The Bug
The bug is that if you use ChatGPT on an older version of their website it is possible to bypass the normal word limit for the free version and write anything you want, all for free. I'm sure someone has found this out by now but it is rare to hear it mentioned.

### How it works
On the normal version of ChatGPT, the word limit is always observed on the first message. But this is not true for older versions of ChatGPT. Here, each message is treated like a different instance of ChatGPT, and so from my experience, the word limit is observed by message on these earlier versions.

So if you use an older version of ChatGPT, each message will have a new limit of 4096 characters maximum or 4096 characters minimum, on the free version. You can write as many messages as you like and so the normal word limit for the free version does not apply. This will not work on the normal version of ChatGPT, only on older versions of the site.

This will always work as long as the previous versions of ChatGPT are available. Right now, they are available and so for now, each message will have a new word limit on those versions. If OpenAI ever decide to remove the previous versions of ChatGPT this bug will no longer be available. But for now, it is always available.

What's more, this bug is present in all previous versions of ChatGPT, all the way back to the first version in 2022. This bug has been around for a long time, but like I said, it's rarely mentioned. I only heard about it by chance, and I've found it to be true.

### Conclusion
That's it, that's the bug. I've always been a fan of OpenAI and ChatGPT and I think they have always been very good. I'm only post this because I believe that there may be others who may not know about this and so for their sake, I want to share them with it. So now this is out in the open and now maybe other people can benefit from it.
