CMV: TIL that Facebook bought Instagram, now I deleted Instagram forever

So I recently found out that facebook bought instagram years ago. If you knew this, then lol. But I honestly thought instagram was owned by some separate people and had no affiliation with shady facebook. I made the mistake of creating a new instagram account with my main email, which is connected to my facebook, so now instagram knows everything about me. I thought instagram was a separate entity. I just deleted my instagram forever because of this. I don't want Zuckerberg to know even more about me through instagram. <br><br>Edit: this was back in 2012 lol, I dont use ig that often, hence why I didn't know. I don't care if you knew, that's not the point, its just that I didn't know until recently.
