What is the reality of caste in modern India?

I swear, I have never seen such level of hinduphobia and ignorance about India in general as I do on Reddit.

People literally think, untouchables are made to live in separate villages where no one can see them, and they are disallowed from exiting those villages. It's like as if Chambers has a factory line where they mass produce these narratives, and when they run out of one, they just change the rhetoric slightly to make it sound like new, and then mass produce it.

So, for those who are going to downvote this without actually reading, let me tell you something, you can not downvote the reality away.

Every single hinduphobic post on this sub is always about history when the world, including India as a whole, was vastly more bigoted than it is today.

So, what is the modern day reality of caste in India?
