My Israeli brother in law saved his (and my wife’s) family at the cost of his own life

A guy in the comments on my last post asked me for more information about this so I thought I'd post it as a thread. I have my wife's permission to share this.

My wife is Israeli but has lived in the US for over 40 years. We went to Israel almost 20 years ago now for her cousin's wedding. We stayed for 2 weeks and rented a car. Her brother lived in a small town on the beach south of Tel Aviv so we stayed with him and her mom and drove to her brother's house every day. On Shabbos we walked to the beach and walked along the shore for hours. It was the middle of winter and the Med was cold. We walked for hours and were in the middle of nowhere. It was beautiful.

A few years later her brother got a call from someone claiming to be from peace now. I guess they had been walking along that beach on the same day we were there and the guy saw what he thought was a woman carrying an assault rifle. He took down her license plate number and tracked her down and called her to tell her that firearms are illegal.

Her brother had bought an assault rifle the day after his Bar Mitzvah and carried it with him everywhere. He was the most patriotic Israeli I ever met and was sure that the Arabs were going to attack Israel any day. FYI he was a guard at a prison camp for Arabs and he always said he would shoot the Arabs if they got out. Shortly after that a suicide bomber blew up a bus in that town.

A few months after that there was a knock on his door. He looked outside and saw an Arab behind the door. My wife's mom was in the house with my BIL's two daughters. I don't know if my wife's brother's gun was in his bedroom or if he carried it outside when he answered the door.

My brother in law shot and killed the Arab. Other Arabs were in a shed a block away. He shot and killed two of them. A third Arab shot my BIL and he died before the police got there.

If my BIL didn't have that assault rifle the whole family would be dead. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a whole family in one night.

Fuck you gun grabbers.

Edit: Semites are not white so I'm not white supremacist for loving Israel.

Edit 2: There is no such thing as "Palestine".
