My dad might be buying a camper for cheap. It’s an older camper (30s?) that’s been converted into a hunting blind.

Here is the situation: my aunt and uncle bought the camper off of some older couple when they lived on a campground. They used to live there until they began to buy their own property, and they’ve built a house on that property. They used the camper as a hunting blind on their property but they don’t need it anymore. They’ve just left it there on their property, enough that they’d be willing to let it go for $500.

However, my uncle is an addict and hasn’t paid my father back in a while. He owes my dad $500, so they agreed that my dad could just take the camper as repayment.

It’s been sitting on the property for a while and hasn’t been used in a long time, so I’m not sure if it’s still good to use, but it’s definitely fixable. My dad is going to go check it out this weekend and I think he’s going to try to use it as a guest house.

This camper is an amazing deal. I’ve done some research and similar campers are going for thousands of dollars, so I think we got a pretty good deal. I just want to know if fixing it up and using it as a guest house is even worth it? What kind of things should we be looking for? Any thoughts or advice?

TLDR: my dad might be buying an older camper for cheap. Is it worth fixing up and using as a guest house?
