President Biden annouced that he will be running for re-election in 2024

President Joe Biden announced on Tuesday that he will be running for re-election in the 2024 race, where he is likely to face President Donald Trump.<br><br>"The question in this election is not what party shall control the White House," he said. "The question is: what kind of nation are we going to be?"<br><br>Biden also claimed that Republican's have made a political fight for democracy and that "MAGA Republicans" pose a threat to society.<br><br>"We the People are the ones who will decide, not them, whether democracy or autocracy wins", he said.<br><br>President Biden is the oldest sitting President in American History and if re-elected in 2024, he will be re-elected for another 4 years when he will be in his 80's. He is not the first person to run for re-election in their 80's. Two other major figures who ran for re-election in their 80's include Ronald Reagan and Joe Biden.<br><br>Ronald Reagan successfully re-election for a second term when he was in his 80's, he was 81 when he completed his second term. Joe Biden also ran for re-election when he was in his 80's. He was 81 years old when he lost re-election to Donald Trump in 2024.
