Why do you single out cat girls?

I honestly don't get it, why do you single out cat girls as a target for your hate? All this fanbase stuff is bad, you also have to admit it. I know we can't just all stop, as they say an addiction is hard to get over. But to just pick one as the target for hate seems like you are just jealous. Cat girls just seem to be the popular thing that people make fun of for some reason, what about dragon girls? Or shark girls? Or waifu as a whole? Don't even get me started on the other animal girls. I see people just shitting on catgirls so much, but the other girls don't get the same hate.
